About

A specialist consultancy for one specific problem

PQVPN assesses and migrates enterprise VPN infrastructure for the post-quantum era. That is the whole scope, deliberately.

Origin

Why PQVPN exists

PQVPN.com was registered in 2019. The conviction behind it was that post-quantum networking would eventually stop being a cryptographic research topic and become an operational infrastructure problem — the kind that lands on a network team with a deadline attached and no inventory to plan against.

That turned out to be the right frame. The hard part of a post-quantum VPN migration is not the mathematics; the standards are published and the algorithms are settled. The hard part is knowing which of four hundred tunnels can move, which are held back by a firmware release nobody wants to touch, which depend on a partner who has not answered an email in three weeks, and in what order to change them without breaking a payments feed.

PQVPN focuses on exactly that problem, for enterprises with real, messy, multi-vendor VPN estates.

Operating principles

How PQVPN works, and what it will not do

Vendor neutrality

PQVPN holds no reseller agreement and receives no commission on hardware or licences. A recommendation to replace a device is a finding, and it is the recommendation PQVPN least wants to make, because it is the one that costs you most and helps you least.

Customer ownership

Every deliverable is written to be executed by your engineers. If you never engage PQVPN beyond the assessment, the assessment still works. That is the design, not a concession.

Evidence over claims

Every technical claim on this site carries a source, a publisher and the date PQVPN last confirmed it. Where no source exists, the status is 'unknown' and the page says so rather than filling the gap with a plausible guess.

Controlled change over one-click promises

Migration is a sequence of production changes to infrastructure that carries real traffic. PQVPN plans for renegotiation, for rollback, and for waves that stop. Nobody is promised a seamless transformation.

Explicit limitations

Not every tunnel can be migrated. Not every device can be upgraded. Not every counterparty will cooperate. Saying so early is more useful than discovering it in a change window.

Human review of everything that touches production

Automation generates and checks. It does not approve. Every artifact reaching a production device has been reviewed by an engineer against the intended end state, the diff and the rollback path.

People

Who writes and reviews this content

Every technical page names an author and, where the content makes a capability claim, a technical reviewer.

PQVPN Technical Team

Network security and post-quantum migration

Technical authorship and review for PQVPN assessment and migration content. This byline covers analysis of enterprise VPN estates, IKEv2 and IPsec key establishment, vendor and release compatibility research, and the migration sequencing methodology described across this site. Every technical claim published under this byline is traced to a primary source with a recorded verification date.

Reviews technical compatibility claims.

PQVPN Editorial

Content and documentation

Editorial ownership for PQVPN service descriptions, methodology documentation and commercial pages. This byline does not review technical compatibility claims; those are reviewed separately by the technical byline and recorded against each individual compatibility record.

Does not review technical compatibility claims.

The scoping form returns a preliminary complexity band immediately. If it turns out PQVPN is not the right fit, you will still have learned something about the shape of the problem.
